Salmon fishing has been HOT this past week around  Sidney, with Coal Island

and Hamley the more productive areas,

 with Chinooks up to 25Lbs.

 

. Most anglers have been using Coho Killers and

anchovies in Bloody-nose teaser heads,

Purple Haze and UV Green teaser heads. Squirts have been out producing Hootchies  and

the hot colours still are, J-79, Glow Below, Mint Tulip. 

Halibut fishing is still good, with some over 100lbs taken in Haro Strait
